Water has played a significant role in social, economic, and cultural development throughout human history. Hydrologists em- phasize that water is an irreplaceable substance with significant economic value in all fields. However, the increase in the world’s population and excessive use of natural resources have negative impacts on the environment, including water resources. Water re- sources have been a significant issue in internal politics for a long time, particularly in regions with drought and water scarcity, such as the Middle East. Water experts warn about the possibility of tension and national conflicts arising from future water resource shortages. Therefore, the notion that the world may fight for future water resources should not be overlooked. The aim of this thesis is to create a “suitable action plan” to ensure everyone has access to secure water resources. The research findings provide information about water resource-related issues. Currently, various countries, including Iran, are resorting to various methods to access sustai- nable water resources. Overcoming the negative social, political, and economic conditions resulting from inadequate management and providing effective solutions to water scarcity is crucial. In Iran, accessing data regarding water is quite challenging. Data is kept in a limited-access environment by the Statistical Center of İran. Mismanagement of water resources could lead to migration, unemployment, and water scarcity in Iran. Analyzing Iran’s wrong policies on water will only be possible through implementing a long-term water policy solution by the Iranian government.
